A-RTV-4040-MC Silicone Elastomer System (Adjustable Durometer 20–40, 10:1 RTV)

A-RTV-4040-MC is a versatile platinum-cure silicone elastomer system that allows technicians to customize the final durometer within a Shore A 20–40 range. Based on our high-performance A-RTV-4000 series, this system provides flexibility in both processing and final material properties.

The kit includes two crosslinkers (catalysts)—one for Shore A 20 and one for Shore A 40—allowing users to blend ratios as needed to achieve intermediate durometers tailored to their application.

Like other materials in this series, the silicone features a low viscosity, pourable consistency and can be modified with thixotropic agents for non-sag applications. It also offers excellent adhesion to acrylic and various substrates.
