Product Details
A-588-1 Silicone Elastomer (Shore A 14, 10:1 RTV)
A-588-1 is a platinum-cure (addition cure), two-part silicone elastomer with a 10:1 mix ratio, designed for applications requiring high clarity, low viscosity, and very soft flexibility. With a Shore A 14 ± 2 durometer, this material produces a soft, translucent elastomer with excellent flow and detail reproduction.
Its low viscosity allows for easy processing and casting, while its optical clarity supports applications where appearance and translucency are important.
This material is recommended for implant-retained prostheses, where its softness and flexibility are beneficial. Due to its lower physical strength, it is not recommended for adhesive-retained prosthetic applications.
For optimal performance, heat curing is recommended, allowing the material to reach its full mechanical and physical properties.
