Product Details
A-RTV-4040 Silicone Elastomer (Shore A 40, 10:1 RTV)
A-RTV-4040 is a high-performance, platinum-cure silicone elastomer designed for applications requiring increased strength and durability. With a Shore A 40 durometer, this 10:1 mix ratio system cures at room temperature to form a translucent, resilient elastomer.
This system utilizes the A-RTV-4000 series base paired with a Shore A 40 catalyst, delivering consistent and reliable results. The material features a low viscosity, pourable consistency, allowing for easy processing and excellent detail reproduction. It can also be modified with thixotropic agents to achieve a non-sag, non-slumping consistency when needed.
A-RTV-4040 provides excellent adhesion to acrylic and various substrates, making it suitable for a wide range of casting, coating, and bonding applications.
